Apple has taken a step forward in its plan to supply clean energy to its data centres, with a new solar panel farm in Nevada. Leading the way in showing us the benefits of using solar energy.

Not only innovators of computers and electronics, Apple is also leading the way in clean energy solutions by building yet another solar panel farm to power it’s data centre in Reno, Nevada.

“When completed, the 137 acre solar array will generate approximately 43.5 million kilowatt hours of clean energy, equivalent to taking 6,400 passenger vehicles off the road per year,” Apple said.

Apple already has two other solar farms used to power their data centre in North Carolina. With this new solar farm in development brings Apple closer to its goal of achieving 100% clean power for its data centres.
