What should I have already completed before trying to secure my rebate on the Solar Victoria Portal?
“Well firstly, what you need to make sure you have is your driver’s licence, your rates notice and your proof of eligibility which includes your proof of income such as a tax assessment notice or something similar. Seocndly, you need to ensure that you have good communication with your solar provider or solar consultant. You need to make sure the company has pre-uploaded the information to the portal so you can easily hop on and accept the quote.”

How can I best improve my chances of getting in first on the release day of the Solar Victoria Rebates?
“You need to make sure you have your PC or desktop computer open with Google Chrome already downloaded and ready to use before the Solar Victoria Portal opens. Using your smart phone or other internet web browsers have been known to display significantly more error messages, which ultimately, allows for more disruptions and lessens your chances of securing a rebate! Make sure you have all your details ready in front of you including your email address, phone number, company name, quote name/number, total amount etc. Most of these details will be provided by your solar provider. Another tip is, if your computer pops up with a loading screen and continues to do so for a long period of time, try and secure your rebate in another tab, as it may be due to the sheer volume of people trying at the exact same time. I think the biggest factor to remember is to be patient, keep your cool and keep trying!“
