Storage for Homes
With the rising cost of living, we understand you want to do all you can to minimise your electricity consumption related spending. By installing a solar system with Energis not only will you reduce your electricity bills, but you may also be able to claim up to 50% on Victorian Government Solar Panel (PV) Rebate.
For Households With Existing
PV Solar Systems
You may have installed solar PV panels in the past and are finally looking to utilise all of the renewable energy produced by the system. You may also be looking to reduce your reliance on the grid. Energis offers a solution: a battery bank. Not only can you access this energy at night, but the excess energy you produce during the day will be sold back to the grid. This equates to more money back in your pocket.
For Households with EVs or
Want Grid-Independence
Having already made the conscientious decision to purchase an electric vehicle, you might be looking to reduce your carbon footprint even further. Not only does Energis offer an energy storage solution that is environmentally friendly, but it will also save you time and money by allowing you to charge from your own home.
Solar rebates available for a limited time. Speak to our solar specialists to see if you’re eligible.
Frequently Asked Questions
Energy storage is the capture of energy produced for use at a later stage. This energy can be utilised when the electricity generated by a solar system is insufficient to meet consumption needs, such as at night. Energy storage offers more flexible energy and allows you to fully take control of your energy production.
The National Electricity Grid (the grid) is the network that delivers electricity from generators to homes and businesses. When you install a solar PV system you become a generator of electricity, which can be fed back into the grid.
A solar grid-connected energy storage system is a mini solar power plant that can generate electricity from solar power, storing it for later use. It includes a solar panel array, an energy management system and a battery bank.
A solar grid-connected energy storage system charges the battery pack before converting DC electricity generated by the solar panels to AC electricity for the grid. The electricity is provided for immediate household use, with the excess stored in the battery.
After the battery is fully charged, the excess electricity is fed into the grid. Once the power decreases, the inverter will activate the emergency power supply. This ensures the energy produced by the panels and batteries can be utilised by the home.
Energis can easily convert your existing grid-connected solar power system into a hybrid battery-backed solar power system by installing an energy management system. This system includes a battery inverter and a battery bank.
Off-grid power system supplies electricity to properties that are not connected to the grid electricity network. These systems are often referred to as a “stand-alone power system” (SAPS), or “remote area power system” (RAPS).
These systems are independent power stations capable of powering a wide range of applications. It is a dependable source of electricity that is no different to that supplied by the national electricity grid.
Electricity generated by solar panels either directly powers your electrical loads or charges batteries via an inverter/charger controller. At night, the inverter supplies the energy stored in the battery bank. When the sun rises the following day, the cycle recommences.
