dual tracker technology allowing solar panels to be installed facing two different directions.

The general rule of thumb is that solar panels are installed facing a northern direction. However, for some households, having all or some of their solar panels installed facing north is simply not an option, due to lack of space or excessive shade. So is it possible to have you solar panels installed facing two different directions?

With the arrival of dual-tracker technology, there is more flexibility for the positioning of your solar array. Essentially, dual-tracking technology follows the movement of the sun throughout the day to maximise the amount of energy generated over the entire 12 hours of daylight. In a nutshell, the answer to your question is yes, it is possible to install solar panels facing two different directions.

Thankfully, Energis have access to both the technology and expert installers to make this happen. The key is an inverter that allows solar panels to be split over two completely different areas, using Dual MPPT Tracking. We know, these acronyms can get confusing, but MPPT stands for Maximum Power Point Tracker, and its job is to maximize the harvest of energy during different hours of the day or changing weather conditions. You can read more about Dual MPPT Tracking here.

This technology allows you to split your solar panels into two different strings and get them installed facing two different directions, thereby maximising the energy production capacity of your system.

So, if you’re faced with the issue of not having enough “northern facing roof space” or “excessive shading” you may still be able to install a solar power system of your choice.

  3. Well Yes!! One may not have that extra space to install more than one panel facing the north. Why not consult an engineer or technician who can guide you about the placement of the solar panels and also install them. I am well known to one of them named 3GEN Power. I recently availed their service for my commercial. Must say they provide good guidance.
