Exciting new battery product for solar power technology to come to Oz later this year!
It’s what we’ve all been waiting for and after a lot of hype and discussion; Tesla has announced that the new Powerwall battery will be ready for Australia later this year.
Tesla wants to see households and businesses using clean and renewable energy and have designed a device that helps us Australians do exactly that. The Tesla Powerwall lithium ion battery is capable of storing large amounts of energy storage that is generated during the day from sunlight, making it easier for consumers to generate their own clean energy with less reliance on the network grid.
The standard Powerwall battery for residential installations is the 7kWh battery designed for the average household. Tesla have also designed the same device for commercial and utility scale installations, ‘The Powerpack’, which groups super efficient 100kWh battery blocks for anywhere from 500kWh to upwards of 10MWh.
Besides the Powerwall’s incredible ability to store energy and its huge contribution to achieving a clean energy future for Australia, the device itself is incredibly sleek, stylish and easy on the eye. The battery would not look out of place in a modern Australian home.
The battery is 1300mm in height, 806mm in width and 180mm in depth and has a guaranteed warranty of up to ten years.
