Workers with solar panels

Australia is fast becoming leaders in the solar panel revolution of the future according to the federal Climate Commission

Australia’s vast and largely unutilised landscape combined with the fact that Australia is the world’s sunniest continent, makes it the ideal place for the future solar panel generation to thrive.

Statistics already show a growth in the solar industry that is directly creating more opportunities for investment, small businesses and jobs in solar installation and maintenance.  In 2012, the solar PV industry recorded at least 16,700 full time jobs.

Australian scientists are looking into the future to help lead the way in solar technology. But Australian scientists have always been at the forefront on solar technology.  In 1941, Australian scientists made the first solar hot water heater and were playing a significant role in improving solar PV panel efficiency.
