Energis is a Clean Energy Council (CEC) approved solar retailer. But what does it mean exactly?
The CEC is the peak body for the clean energy industry in Australia and represents leading businesses operating in solar and other renewable energy systems. The Clean Energy Council ensures the quality, safety and reliability of the Australia’s solar industry by maintaining the product and service standards. The CEC regulates the accreditations for solar installers, designers and retailers.
A Clean Energy Council approved solar retailer is a company that has signed the Clean Energy Council Solar Retailer Code of conduct. This code is a scheme for solar PV panel retailers. It aims to bring higher standards of service than the minimum requirements established by the government. A total of 126 applications have been send to the Clean Energy Council (oct. 2017) but only 54 have been approved (See the list here). Their systems and processes have been carefully audited by the industry’s peak body, and found to meet the standards.
