Victorians, if you still don’t have solar, now is the time to get it!
The Victorian Government is making solar panels more affordable than ever with a package providing a rebate on the cost of a solar PV system, up to the maximum of $2,225. It means you will be able to save up to $2,225 while still keeping the benefits of the solar credit programs (STCs) and the feed-in tariff!
Hurry! Solar Victoria has only 2,000 more solar PV applications for 2018-19.
The 9th of April, the Premier of Victoria, announced a cap to the Solar PV component of the Solar Homes program. The program has been extremely popular, and interest has far exceeded the original estimate of expected applications. From that day, Solar Victoria has only another 2,000 solar PV applications. Once 2,000 applications have been reached, Solar Victoria will not be accepting any new solar PV applications for 2018-19.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible, you must be able to answer ‘Yes’ to the following questions:
- Do you have a combined taxable income of less than $180,000 per annum?
- Are you the owner-occupier of the property?
- Is the property valued at under $3 million?
- I don’t have solar PV on my property OR I am replacing my solar PV system that was installed before 1 November 2009*.
