It may look like a Tamagotchi, but this isn’t a kids toys.

The ClicLite is a portable keyring solar panel module that can be used to recharge electronic devices like your smart phone or iPod. The idea is that you leave it connected to your device during the day and let the sun replenish its batteries.

Depending on your battery usage, one ClicLite on its own might not be efficient enough. That’s why the ClicLite can be connected to others like a game of dominoes.

A single ClicLite needs about 10 hours of solar power to recharge a smart phone battery. Add a couple more and you can reduce that to three hours, and with six daisy-chained modules it takes just an hour.

But what if the sun isn’t shining brightly enough, you ask? Well, they’ve got that covered with a handy USB port and cable. So you’ll never be left in the dark.

It’s available in Germany for $48 plus $9 for each additional ClikLite. Of course because of the internet it can be purchased world wide wherever sun power is available.
