China is the world’s largest producer of solar power!
China is the most heavily populated country on Earth, with a massive population of more than 1.3 billion people. To reach this goal, China plans to invest more than $360 billion into their renewable energy projects.

An exciting claim for China however, is that in Eastern China on the Tibetan Plateau, you will find the Longyangxia Dam Solar Park. This solar park is home to a whopping 4 million solar panels spanned over almost 26 square kilometres of high desert scenery. The structure was initially started in 2013 but has been growing expeditiously, now with the capability to generate 850 megawatts of electricity!
