All Power to Power-One!
Europe’s largest crystalline rooftop solar installation has been constructed using Inverters from Power-One. The 8.1MW solar farm was built in Lithuania and only took 4 weeks to complete.
The installation consists of 33,000 solar panels and 255 Power-One Aurora Trio 27.6-TL-OUTD inverters. It’s no surprise they went with the Aurora when its efficiency rating is up to 98.3%
“With the rising cost of electricity, PV installations especially offer companies with high energy consumption an attractive option to reduce their energy bills by producing a portion of the electricity required by themselves” says Power-One’s Gerhard Schackert.
ABB recently acquired Power-One and have set a new company goal; grabbing SMA’s number one slot. They’ve recently opened two manufacturing centers in Phoenix, Arizona and Toronto, Canada.
